CULTURE IS THE STRATEGY
In thirty-one years of coaching, I never once mentioned the word winning to my team. I taught them to focus on doing the fundamental things right, acting with character, performing as a team, and giving all the effort they had on the court. The scoreboard would take care of itself.
~ John Wooden, Former UCLA Basketball Coach
High Performing Teams
Coach Wooden understood teams and companies win because of the quality of their people and the culture in which they function. A highly motivated and engaged group of people, aligned around a clear and simple mission, and exercising high degrees of trust will usually win even when the competition has superior resources.
The first step in creating the right culture is to assess group strengths and opportunities for improvement with the Team Trek Team Profile© (TTTP) assessment. The TTTP, based on Team Trek’s High Performing Teams model, is simple, with easy on-line access, and protects feedback confidentiality. Armed with this information, a Team Trek coach partners with you to assess the right culture change strategy for your organization.
Team Trek culture programs typically include a combination of onsite workshops, coaching and Team Trek Learning Center programs, depending on your needs. All are designed to work in concert to break down existing barriers, build trust, and create alignment around the High Performing Teams model.
You may choose to begin with one of two options:
Multi-day Organizational Culture Initiative (OCI) at the Team Trek Learning Center
One-day Organizational Culture Workshop at the client location
Both courses are designed to create a high level of trust and cohesion between team members, a common vocabulary and alignment with the High Performing Teams model. As your organization seeks to navigate the rapidly changing world in which we live, Team Trek’s services will help you develop a culture that “takes care of the scoreboard”, producing long-term and sustainable results.
What clients are saying:
My relationship with Team Trek first started in 2007 during my time as plant manager in North Little Rock, AR. NLR is one of our largest and most complex operations. At this time I needed the support of a consultancy to support the culture change program that I wanted to initiate in the plant. The plant performance across a number of performance areas had been stagnant for some time.
In order to bring to the site a TPM/lean implementation, a major change was required. I am completely convinced that the unique services offered by Team Trek were instrumental in transforming the culture and driving for operational excellence. Today, after many years and several leadership changes, the plant continues to deliver outstanding results, such that it has been recognized within our worldwide network as one of our top plants, consistently achieving high scores on our internal audits. Year after year the plant achieves service levels >98%, 2-5pts OEE gains, productivity >10%, best in class quality rejects <0.5%. The NLR model as it has been called has become the basis of the North American manufacturing operating model for L’Oréal.
Team Trek has provided ongoing support at different times and levels during this journey. I can honestly say I have never seen anything like that of Team Trek -- the balance of workshops and simulations backed up by ongoing coaching and support, enables the development of leadership behaviors, high performing team dynamics, improved communications, clarity of values and direction and cultural engagement at the highest level.
